New leaks point to the fact that Apple may be increasing the size of the new iPhone 8.

Rumor has it that Apple may be increasing the size of the iPhone. We all remember when Apple first decided to increase the size of the original iPhone with the offering of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

Now there is talk about a 1.1-inch increase from the iPhone 7’s 4.7-inch display to 5.8-inches. This information seems to have been confirmed by Apple’s own software.

Apparently, Apple’s own HomePod beta code which was accidently shipped full of product roadmap information is the source of this information. This leak is just one of the many leaks discovered by developer Steve Troughton-Smith.

This discovery causes me to wonder if the size increase is just for the Anniversary Edition iPhone and not for every new iPhone hence forth.  Also, I am curious about the potential size increase of the iPhone Plus model.

Just how big is too big for smartphones?
